Madeira Wine will be present at the prestigious wine fair Prowein which takes place in Dusseldorf, Germany, from the 19th to the 21st of March, through a concerted action between the Instituto do Vinho, Bordado e Artesanato da Madeira (IVBAM), the agents of Madeira Wine and Viniportugal, the entity responsible for the international promotion of the Vinhos de Portugal brand.

 In addition to the disclosure made by the five Madeira Wine producers who will be present at the same, namely: HM Borges, Vinhos Barbeito, Madeira Wine Company, Henriques & Henriques and Justino's Madeira Wines, there will be a Madeira Wine masterclass under the theme: “Madeira – a wine for every occasion” – guided by Rubina Vieira, responsible for the IVBAM Educational Actions Office, which will take place on the 21st of March, at 1 pm, thus reinforcing the promotion of this precious nectar.

It should be noted that economic agents of Madeira Wine will be gathered at the Viniportugal pavilion, more specifically at stand 44, Hall 12, Ilha 12 A 69.

The promotion of Madeira Wine at this fair is of extreme importance, taking into account the dimension that Prowein assumes in the world of wine, being the world's largest fair for wine and spirits and the place where the main agents of the sector gather, having counted last year, with more than 5,700 exhibitors from 62 countries. In addition, the German market is one of the main importers of Madeira Wine, having moved, in 2022, 276,344.00 liters, which amounted to €1,242,943.64, figures that demonstrate the importance of a continuous commitment in this market.
